Friday, August 30th

Today we'll be starting our world maps.  First of all, we'll try the world map from memory.  Then we'll review the places on the locator sheet that you will label for your world map.  After this, your world maps will be handed out and you'll have the remainder of the class to work on them.

Only homework over the three day weekend is to work on the world maps.

Thursday, August 29th

Today we will be discussing our footprint assignment briefly as a class.  Then we'll be talking about the characteristics of a scholar.  Following this, we'll be writing our "What is a Scholar?" paragraphs and you'll turn in your rough draft.

Homework:  Type up your What is a Scholar paragraphs and turn-in tomorrow.  Also turn-in your signed parent sheet and "Who Are You?" tomorrow too.

Wednesday, August 28th

Today we will review the class letter, rules, supply list and guidelines. (Signed guidelines due by Friday)

We will also be starting on our footprint activity (if you don't finish it in class, it's homework, due Thursday).
