Agenda: Weekend Wrap-Ups, then picture analysis of Scholar Officials from first page of Ch. 15 in ebackpack. Take rest of class to highlight and read Ch. 15 from History Alive! on eBackpack. Homework: Finish reading Ch. 15 from History Alive! on eBackpack.

Agenda: Take Mali and Songhai Quiz. Then discuss as a class. Tomorrow we start our China Unit! Homework: Think of one thing you remember from studying Ancient China last year and we ready to share during our KWL for Medieval China tomorrow.

Agenda: Long Weekend Wrap-Ups, then wrap-up the Mali and Songhai Empires. Homework: Study.

Friday, January 13th

Agenda: Watch short documentary clip on Mansa Musa and discuss as a class. Then look at other top 19 richest men in history besides Mr. Mansa Musa himself. After that share African Proverbs (each student will read one) for Fun Day Friday. Homework: Study for Mali and Songhai Quiz on Tuesday (will be 10 questions and 20 points).

Thursday, January 12th

Agenda: Check Mali and Songhai Q.'s together as a class. Memorize the Mansa Musa M's (it's fun and educational)! Homework: Study for Quiz on Empires of Mali and Songhai in the near future.

Wednesday, January 11th

Agenda: Finish Mali and Songhai Questions (we'll check them towards the end of class for credit; so be ready to show that they are completed). Homework: Study for Quiz on Empires of Mali and Songhai in the near future (we'll be reviewing the Questions in great detail tomorrow).
