Agenda: Make sure you're good for our guest lecturer: Mrs. Schreiner today! You'll start by showing her your highlighting for Lesson 12: Sections 1-3. After that, you'll be completing the Lesson 12 Preview in your workbook together as a class. After the preview, you'll find a partner to work on Sections 1 AND 2 in your workbook. When Mrs. S. sees that most of you have completed Sects. 1 & 2, you'll review those as a class and then work on Section 3 as a class too. Homework: None.

Tuesday, February 27th

Agenda: Just bring your notes and a pen into class today. Take Master of the Killer Ants quiz. When done, we'll be reading as a class Sundiata, the Lion King of Mali, starting on page 215 in your red book. If time, start on your homework (see below). Homework: Read and Highlight Lesson 12: Sections 1-3 to prepare for tomorrow.

Agenda: Ski Week Break Wrap-Ups (think of the 2 things you would most like to share)! Then time to make sure you have GOOD notes. Homework: Bring your Master of the Killer Ants notes for OPEN-NOTE Quiz tomorrow at the start of class.

Tuesday, February 13th

Agenda: Weekend Wrap-Ups if you like. Then compare new Black Panther movie to Empires of Ghana and Mali using movie trailer and Newsela article. After comparison, the rest of a class will be sent completing the vocabulary sheet for BOTH Lessons 12 AND 13. Homework: Finish Voc. for Lessons 12 AND 13 if you haven't already.

Monday, February 12th

Agenda: 5 minutes to study, then take Crusades Test. First the eBackpack portion and then come to me for the written portion. After you're done, start reading Lesson 12 on your iPad. If there is time at the end of class: weekend wrap-ups. Homework: None.

Agenda: Continue working on Lesson 9 Muslim Innovations Activity (Sections 2-10). After you finish, show me for credit (if it's detailed and before the end of class). When/if done, then study for Crusades Test on Monday. Homework: Study for Crusades Test (Lesson 10 Sections 1-5) on Monday.

Tuesday, February 6th

Agenda: Today we discuss and find Muslim Innovations that were spread to Europe during the Crusades. This will be a 2 period activity that will fill in Lesson 9 (Sections 2-10) which we skipped earlier. THIS WILL NOT BE ON YOUR TEST ON MONDAY. Homework: Study for Crusades Test Lesson 10 Sections 1-5 on Monday!

Monday, February 5th

Agenda: Weekend Wrap-Ups, then review the chart you did on Page 74 with Mrs. S. on Friday in groups of 3 (two people who were here and one that wasn't). After that, we'll review the chart together as a class. With the rest of class, discuss processing section on Page 76. Homework: Start to study for Lesson 10 Sections 1-5 Test (we'll talk more about it tomorrow).

Agenda: Continue utilizing clips from the film Kingdom of Heaven to explain the complexities, controversies and connections from the Third Crusade to our world today. Then finish the Crusades Flow Chart as a class. If time, start reading Sections 3-5 AND highlighting them. Homework: Finish Reading/Highlighting Sections 3-5 of Lesson 10.
