Agenda: iPads stay outside today please. Start class by sharing with your two group mates the impacts/effects of the Crusades. Then preview what we'll cover on Monday: The Black Death by watching short documentary on it (make sure you're taking bullet point notes). If time, see a different take on Medieval Europe by watching a couple of scenes from Monty Python and the Holy Grail for FunDay Friday. Homework: None.

Thursday, May 30th

Agenda: *iPad Day* Start class by reviewing The Crusades Q.'s (Section 1 & 2) in GREAT DETAIL. Focusing on Salah al-Din and the Horns of Hattin. Then work on Effects of The Crusades in groups of 3 (each of you will focus on the effects on one group: Christians, Jews or Muslims). You'll share with your group mates at the start of class tomorrow. Homework: None.

Wednesday, May 29th

Agenda: *iPad Day* Each share one thing from catapult documentary notes. Then watch the Siege of Jerusalem come to life. After that, handout Ch. 10 and complete reading and Q.'s for Sections. 1 & 2. BE DETAILED PLEASE. Homework: Finish Section 2 before start of class (if not already done).

Agenda: iPads stay outside today please. Weekend Wrap-Ups. Take any make-up quizzes. Finish Catapult Building documentary, make sure you're taking bullet point notes (we're going to discuss to start class tomorrow). Homework: None.

Agenda: *Just bring a pen into class today* Take Ch. 2 Quiz. *REMEMBER: It's a CLASS COPY, so please don't write on the quiz or you'll lose valuable points. While you're doing that, I'll pass out the questions that we'll working on for Ch. 3 as a class. Agenda: *iPad Day* Hand in Knight's Tale permission slips if your parent has signed it. Start with Preview for Ch. 2 on Loyalty as a class. Then work on Ch. 2 reading (found on Google Classroom) and worksheets for Sections. 1-6. Homework: Finish Sections thru 6 if you haven't by the end of class.

Monday, May 13th

Agenda: iPads stay outside today please. Take 10 minutes to make sure you've finished your detailed answers for Ch. 20 AND 21. Take Chs. 20 & 21 Open Note Quiz. Then weekend wrap-ups. Homework: Get permission slip signed for A Knight's Tale by Friday.

Friday, May 10th

Agenda: Take first 15 minutes of class to finish Ch. 21 worksheets on the samurai (thru Section 8). Then check and review them as a class. Finish class with clip from the movie Last Samurai on the importance of discipline and honor to a samurai ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMT1r9IpIf0 ). Homework: Be sure to bring ALL your work for Medieval Japan on Monday for our open note quiz on Chs. 20 AND 21.

Wednesday/Thursday, May 8th/9th

Agenda: Take first 15 minutes of class to make sure that your Ch. 20 is completed. We'll check/review it as a class after those 15 minutes. After we've checked Ch. 20, we'll be moving on to what I know a lot of you have waited patiently for: Ch. 21 THE SAMURAI! Homework: None.

Monday/Tuesday, May 6th/7th

Agenda: **A friendly reminder: iPads Stay OUTSIDE for the Entire Week** Weekend Wrap-Ups. Then check/review your work for Ch. 19 as a class. After that, explain activity for Ch. 20 and start it (either individually or in groups of 2). When you finish with the placards/stations activity, grab a class copy of the reading for Ch. 20 and work at your desk. Just get as far as you can, you'll have 15 minutes to finish it up at the start of class next block. Homework: None.

Friday, May 3rd

Agenda: Bring in your Japan Mapping activity and your Ch. 19 Q.'s to be checked. Also have your pen and a piece of paper to take notes on our documentary on the making of a Japanese Samurai Sword (you can use the same piece of paper you took notes on last time). Homework: None.

Wednesday/Thursday, May 1st/2nd

Agenda: **Remember iPads stay outside for the rest of this week and next week too** All you'll need for today is a pen, your silent reading book (if you finish before block is done) and an enthusiasm to learn about how China and Korea have influenced Japan. First I'll explain the reading and packet you'll be working with. *The packet is a class copy, so PLEASE DON'T WRITE ON IT* Then you'll be working through the packet in groups of 2 using the class copy of the reading. Once you finish with you packet, you can read quietly. Homework: None.
