Agenda: Belated Weekend Wrap-Ups. Then check and review Chapter 2 Vocabulary. After that, start discussing the importance of Emperor Charlemagne! Homework: None.

Monday, October 9th

Agenda: Today you'll be working in your Interactive Student Notebooks (*iPad Day). First Mrs. S. will handout the vocabulary sheet and then you'll complete the boxes for each vocab. term. Then you'll read and complete Lesson 2: Section 1 (Q.'s 1-3). Homework: If you don't finish the 3 questions on Charlemagne in Sect. 1, then they are for homework (Vocab. Sheet and Sect. 1 (1-3) is due by the start of class tomorrow).

Friday, October 6th

Agenda: Today we will focus on historical free-writing using a clip from Ben Hur and by thinking about what Loyalty means on Page 11 of your Interactive Student Notebooks. (you won't need your iPads today, I'll provide the entertainment) Homework: None.

Thursday, October 5th

Agenda: Take the first 10 minutes of class to quietly study individually. Then take out iPads and take first part of Roman Empire Quiz on eBackpack. Then when you've completed that, put away your iPad and see me for your short answer sheet. After completing your short answers, return them to me and start reading about Lesson 2: What Comes After Rome on your iPads. Homework: None.

Wednesday, October 4th

Agenda: Work as a class to complete sections 3-5 on pages 8 & 9 of your Interactive Student Notebook. Homework: STUDY, STUDY, STUDY for Quiz on Lesson 1 TOMORROW!!!

Tuesday, October 3rd

Agenda: Take first 10 minutes of class to finish/add to answers on pages 6 & 7. Then we'll check and review as a class. With rest of time, start page 8 as a class. Homework: Finish reading lesson 1, if you haven't already.

Monday, October 2nd

Agenda: Weekend Wrap-Ups, start working on Lesson 1: Legacy of the Roman Empire in your Interactive Student Notebooks (*iPad Day*). Work with a partner to complete Pages 6 AND 7. We'll check them and discuss them in depth tomorrow morning. Homework: None, if done with Pages 6 & 7 (you'll have 10 minutes at the start of class to make sure you have it done).
