Tuesday, December 11th

Agenda: *iPad Day* Pass out Study Helper Sheet for Unit 5 (you'll notice that it's shorter than Unit 4, since we have limited time to cover Unit 5). Then read Life and Purpose from Unit 5.0 as a class. Be sure to highlight as we're reading as a class. Then we'll watch and take notes on video titled How Did Life Begin and Change? in 5.1 Homework: Continue to study for Units 4 & 5 Test next Wednesday by working on Unit 5 Study Helper Sheet.

Monday, December 10th

Agenda: Weekend Wrap-Ups. Reminder that this weekend is the last weekend to do extra credit. Then start Unit 5 with videos on A Big History of Everything: Life (5.0) and Mini-Thresholds of Life (5.1). Make sure you're taking great bullet point notes and writing down the key idea q. & a.'s, our test on Units 4 and 5 is already in a week and a half! Homework: None.

Friday, December 7th

Agenda: Please bring everything into the classroom today. I'll explain once the bell rings. Homework: Continue to study Unit 4 Study Helper Sheet for Units 4 & 5 Test on the 19th.

Thursday, December 6th

Agenda: Check highlights of Principles of Geology article to start class. Then get with a partner and annotate the portions of the article in the LEAST amount of words possible. (I'll show an example before you start) Then you'll take your know of geology and answer questions 5 & 6 on your Study Helper Sheet. If you finish with good detail on q.'s 1-6 before the end of class, quiz your partner to prepare for your Test on Units 4 and 5 on the 19th. Homework: Study your Study Helper Sheet now that's it's completed.

Wednesday, December 5th

Agenda: *iPad Day* Start class by taking ten minutes to make sure #4 on your Study Helper Sheet. Then we'll be doing a close read as a class of the PDF titled Principles of Geography. After we read it as class, you'll read and highlight/annotate it again individually keeping in mind it's connection to #'s 5 & 6 on your Study Helper Sheet. Homework: None.

Tuesday, December 4th

Agenda: *iPad Day* Start class by taking about 10 minutes to make sure #3 on your study helper sheet is filled out in detail (the article titled Alfred Wegener and Harry Hess has a good section on plate tectonics to help you). Then we'll be introducing Geology and Unit 4.3 with a clip from a veteran of that field. Make sure you're taking good notes on the Key Ideas (both questions and answers please). Taking good notes will help you answer #4 on your study sheet in great detail! Homework: None.

Monday, December 3rd

Agenda: *iPad Day* Start with weekend wrap-ups, and then begin Unit 4.2 with fun Ice Age clip on continental drift. After that, we'll be looking at Claim Testing-Geology and Earth's Formation. Homework: None.
