Today we'll be finishing the documentary and checking off as many reasons for the Fall of Rome that we see in the documentary. Agenda: *iPad Day* Check and share your 3 Reasons Why Rome Fell with a partner. Then you'll be taking the ONE reason you feel strongest about and writing a paragraph, after you've done research, on that reason. You can write it on the same page you shared earlier. Be ready to share your paragraph tomorrow with the rest of class. Homework: Finish your paragraph on your Main Reason Why Rome Fell, if you haven't by the end of class.

Agenda: *iPads Stay Outside Today Please* Start class with weekend wrap-ups and you'll share your Latin voc. term. Then dramatic reading of "The Crossing" as a class. (We'll answer follow-up q.'s from the reading together.) Finally, I'm going to pass out a handout on 42 Reasons for the Fall of Rome. Your job is to choose the 3 you feel are the main reasons Rome collapsed and write a paragraph about why you chose those 3. Be ready to share with a partner tomorrow. Homework: Finish your 3 Reasons for Fall of Rome paragraph, if you aren't done by end of class.

Agenda: *iPad Day* Work in groups of two to find Latin sayings that we still use today. If you finish early, look up other Latin words not on the list. Then watch chariot racing scene from Ben Hur AND pod racing scene from Star Wars for Funday Friday! You'll see how similar art imitating history is! Homework: None.
