Agenda: *iPad Day, obviously* Please sit with your group members when you come in. We'll discuss the guidelines of your Google Slides presentation and then you'll have the rest of class to use the time wisely to research and create your presentation. Homework: Continue to work on your Google slides presentation for your topic on The Byzantine Empire. Your group will start presenting first thing on TUESDAY.

Thursday, September 19th

Agenda: *iPad Day* Review Background essay and ALL vocabulary answers together. Then assign groups for Google Slides presentation on your topic. Start researching. Homework: Continue group research for Byzantine Empire topic (you'll have all class tomorrow to work).

Wednesday, September 18th

Agenda: *iPads day*. Handout introduction to Byzantine Empire project activities. Then we'll work through them as a class. If we finish before end of class, begin to analyze documents found on Google classroom. Homework: Be ready to start working with your group (that I'll assign) tomorrow!

Tuesday, September 17th

Agenda: *iPad Day* We'll start class by passing out vocabulary sheets. Then you'll use the reading on The Byzantine Empire (found on Google Classroom in the Stream) to complete the voc. for Ch. 6. Once you're done with the voc., please read the chapter carefully and highlight the reading as you go. Homework: None, as long as you finish the voc. before the end of class.

Monday, September 16th

Agenda: *iPad can stay outside today please* Weekend Wrap-Ups, then preview our next unit on The Byzantine Empire with fun mapping activity. After that, we're going to watch a short TED Educational video on the history of The Byzantine Empire and preview what we're going to be working on starting tomorrow. Then more of the name game! Homework: None.

Friday, September 13th

Agenda: *Everything can stay outside today* Watch more of Rome: Engineering an Empire documentary for FunDay Friday. Homework: None.

Thursday, September 12th

Agenda: Please just bring a pen into class today. Take Roman Empire quiz. When everyone is done, we'll start watching Rome: Engineering An Empire. Homework: None.
