Tuesday, November 12th

Agenda: *iPad Day* Veteran's Day weekend wrap-ups. Then start British Museum primary source work on Mali (you'll need a separate piece of paper to answer the questions). After that short clips on Mansa Musa (don't take notes), we'll discuss as a class after they play. Homework: None.

Friday, November 8th

Agenda: *iPad Day* Check/Review Ch. 12 Q.'s as a class. While I'm going around checking, you can choose to read and highlight one of two articles that I've posted on Newsela: "Trading Salt for Gold" OR "Black Panther Like Me". After we've reviewed ALL of Ch. 12, we'll be starting a documentary on the Lost Kingdoms of Africa. Make sure you're taking bullet point notes as the documentary is playing. Homework: None.

Thursday, November 7th

Agenda: *iPad Day* Continue working on your Ch. 12 Questions (including the processing) with a partner or individually. When you finish those questions, please read the posted article on Newsela on Ghana and Salt for Gold. When done reading it, please take the quiz afterwards. Homework: None.

Wednesday, November 6th

Agenda: *iPad Day* Handout Ch. 12 Q.'s. Then we'll do the preview and voc. together as a class. After that work at your speed, just know that you'll be showing me your completed Ch. 12 Q.'s (including Processing) at the start of class on Friday. So make sure you manage your time well. Homework: Continue working on your Ch. 12 Q.'s so that they can be done by start of class on Friday.

Monday, November 5th

Agenda: *iPad Day* Weekend Wrap-Ups. Then make sure you have everything you need for your Islam Unit Notebook to turn in. After that we'll start the Africa Unit with reading and highlight Ch. 12 on the Empire of Ghana. As long as it stays quiet, we'll have music playing in the background while you read and highlight. Homework: None.
