Agenda: Periods 1 & 2=Work on Maps. Periods 4-7=Brainpops on Silk Road and Great Wall. Then review quizzes as a class. Homework: None.

Wednesday, December 17th

Agenda: CHINA MAP DAY FOR ALL CLASSES. Periods 1 & 2=Introduce China Map and then work on pencil for rest of class. Periods 4-7=Check China Maps and then work on #'s 3 & 7 and if time, #2 as a class. Homework: None.

Tuesday, December 16th

Agenda: Periods 1 & 2=Take Africa Unit Test after turning in Africa Unit Notebook to start class. Periods 4-7=China Map Group Work Day #2. Homework: Periods 1 & 2=None. Periods 4-7=China Map Due TOMORROW @ start of class.

Monday, December 15th

Agenda: Periods 1 & 2=Last "Study Day" before Africa Unit Test tomorrow. Also don't forget that your Africa Unit Notebook is due at the start of class tomorrow too! Periods 4-7=Group (of 2) China Map Work day with a little music in the background, as long as you stay on task of course. P.S. Weekend Wrap-Ups for ALL CLASSES :) Homework: Periods 1 & 2=Last Study for Africa Unit Test tomorrow. Also don't forget that your Africa Unit Notebook is due at the start of class tomorrow too! Friday, December 12th

Agenda: Periods 1 & 2=Study day for Africa Unit Test on Tuesday. Periods 4-7=Turn-In Africa Unit Notebook to start class. China Map Day (and maybe some Christmas music playing in the background). Homework: Periods 1 & 2=Continue studying for Africa Unit Test on Tuesday and don't forget that your Africa Unit Notebook is also due on Tuesday. Periods 4-7=None.

Thursday, December 11th

Agenda: Periods 1 & 2=Finish going over Study Guide and then organize Africa Unit Notebook. Periods 4-7=Introduce China Unit with KWL and Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb. Spend rest of class organizing Africa Unit Notebook Due tomorrow. Homework: Periods 1 & 2=Study for Africa Unit Test on Tuesday and Notebook also due that day too. Periods 4-7=Africa Unit Notebook Due Tomorrow.

Wednesday, December 10th

Agenda: Periods 1 & 2=Finish African Proverbs. After that, start studying for Quiz next Monday. Then, Periods 4-7=LARGE QUIZ DAY IS HERE! Homework: ALL CLASSES=None.

Tuesday, December 9th

Agenda: Periods 1 & 2=African Proverbs Day (we'll finish with them to start class tomorrow). Periods 4-7=Day to Review and Study for Large Quiz tomorrow. Homework: Periods 4-7 ONLY=Continue Studying for Large Quiz tomorrow.

Agenda: ALL CLASSES=Finish Master of the Killer Ants doc. THEN...Periods 1 & 2=Review 3 African Empires and then finish African Village Society chart handout. Periods 4-7=Review African Village Society chart handout as a class and start on African Proverbs (we'll finish with them to start class tomorrow). Homework: Periods 4-7 ONLY=Continue Studying for Large Quiz on Wednesday.

Friday Fun Day, December 6th

Agenda: ALL CLASSES=Watch Master of the Killer Ants documentary and take detailed notes on Rural African Village Society and how they use the ants to help them thrive. Homework: PERS. 4-7 ONLY=Continue to Study for "Large Quiz" ON WEDNESDAY.

Thursday, December 4th

Agenda: Periods 4-7 Only=Review Empires of Mali and Songhai Q.'s as a class. Then briefly review Primary Source reading & q.'s on Sultan of Mail handout. Finally, work on Village Society in West Africa reading and q.'s in groups of 2. Homework: PERIODS 4-7 ONLY=Study for "Large Quiz" on Wednesday.

Wednesday, December 3rd

Agenda: ALL CLASSES=View Mansa Musa Filmstrip Doc. and take detailed notes...then discuss as a class. Periods 4-7=Start/Complete Sultan of Mali Reading Handout and Questions on Backside. Homework: Periods 4-7 ONLY=Finish Sultan of Mali, if not already completed by end of class.

Tuesday, December 2nd

Agenda: Periods 1 & 2=Finish reading Sundiata and answer questions as a class. Then start on Ghana, Mali and Songhai worksheet as a class. Periods 4-7=Work on Mali and Songhai questions in advance of Mansa Musa Filmstrip fun tomorrow :) Homework: PERS. 4-7 ONLY=Finish Mali and Songhai questions (if not done yet).
