Agenda: Name game to start class (2 times through the rows). Then clip about voyage of Thor Heyerdahl to bring to life Easter Island activity. Finally, finish Easter Island worksheet by the end of class. If everyone is done before class ends, we'll discuss as a class. Homework: None.

Tuesday, August 28th

Agenda: *iPAD DAY* Start class by sharing our 3800 Dig Site predictions. Then pass your Headless Romans worksheet to the front of your row. Next we'll watch clips about Big History as a class and discuss during pauses (you'll be taking notes as we go). Finally we'll relate to what you've studied already in Science and Ancient Civilizations class in the past. If time, start watching Crash Course Video: The Big Bang for homework. You can find the link on our Google Classroom site. Homework: Crash Course Video: The Big Bang found on Google Classroom (watch tonight to be ready for Scavenger Hunt tomorrow).

Monday, August 27th

Agenda: Start week with your weekend wrap-ups! Then take 10 minutes to finish filling in the descriptions for the experts we saw in our Headless Romans documentary clip on Friday. After that, take 5 to cross reference with a partner. Then you'll be filling out the last box (what if YOU were the one discovered by archeologists in the year 3800) individually and then we'll discuss as a class. If time: name game so I can start memorizing some of your names. Homework: None.

Agenda: Sitting chart day fun, so please leave your backpacks outside against the wall and let me know if there's a nickname you go by :) Then thoughts activity individually. After that, we're going to start a class-wide activity on Headless Romans, should be fascinating! Homework: Signed Syllabus due at start of class tomorrow.
